A romantic evening downtown for Alex & Elizabeth’s special day! These two, originally from Wisconsin but now call Chicago home, knew they wanted an urban/downtown vibe to their wedding day all the while incorporating fun details to reflect the local scene. The day began with the girls getting ready at the amazing new Lodge Kohler right next to Lambeau Field, before heading down to Old St. Joe’s Catholic church for a beautiful ceremony. Elizabeth was stunning in her BHLDN gown with her handsome groom in his classic black tux waiting for her at the end of the aisle.

Elizabeth had an eye for detail and knew what she wanted, but because they would be planning a wedding from afar, she enlisted our help to bring everything together. We often work with out-of-town brides and we love being able to give them the peace of mind that everything is being taken care of and handled so they can enjoy their engagement. Gather on Broadway was the perfect venue for their look: modern, industrial, yet warm and inviting. Lush greens hung from the chandeliers while the harvest tables were filled with the sweetest succulent planters (made by the brides family). Guests were greeted with a special drink of Pomelo de la Baie with edible pansy and vintage looking letter board signs throughout the venue. Elizabeth works for Miller Brewing Company so we even added “The Champagne of Beers”, Miller Highlife, to each place setting. The happy couple even got to sneak outside for some spectacular sunset photos at the end of the night with their fantastic photographer, Ali Leigh Photography! So happy to have helped bring Alex & Elizabeth’s wedding vision to life, and they were just one of the sweetest couples! We wish you both a lifetime of joy and happiness <3
