Nick and Amanda had a vision for a wedding full of summer flowers. This sweet couple hired Sash & Bow for coordination on their wedding day to ensure that their friends and family weren’t the ones working while they should be celebrating. We were honored to be a part of this awesome day, captured beautifully by Molly Jo Collection!
Here’s what Amanda had to say about her wedding day:
“Wisconsin. Where is that exactly? Ah yes, the state out in the Midwest best known for beer and cheese. At least that’s what I knew prior to moving here and meeting Nick.
“I was visiting some friends that had moved from Virginia to the Appleton area. During my visit, we went to a winery in Door County, and they invited their friend, Nick, to join us. Even though we only met for a few hours, we remained in touch with video chatting and a few, brief visits. We share a love for music, the arts, travel, and spending time with family and friends, and of course spoiling our dog. Eight months later, I moved to Wisconsin. And now Nick and I are married!
“After being engaged for about thirteen months, wedding day had finally arrived! On wedding day, we had an intimate and relaxing morning, dressed in matching, floral robes (bridesmaids in navy and flower girl and me in white), enjoying breakfast, coffee and quality time together while getting ready. It was extra special Nick’s aunt and two cousins made up the girls’ hair.
“The decision to marry here in Wisconsin was an easy one. The ceremony took place at Holy Spirit-Darboy Church, which is the same church Nick’s parents married in, as well as many of his family members. It meant so much to us to be married in the same church. We had a string trio with trumpet play for our ceremony. I play violin and Nick plays trumpet. It was absolutely lovely, with me walking into the church to Canon in D. After a beautiful ceremony, we walked back down the aisle as man and wife to Trumpet Voluntary.
“After the ceremony, we went to Green Bay Botanical Garden for our reception. When selecting a reception location, we thought the venue elegant and classic, and would be the perfect spot for photographs. We also really liked the feeling of the outdoors being brought indoors, with views of beautiful flowers and greens seen through the wall of windows within the venue space. As an added bonus, we had use of the outdoor courtyard.
“Nick and I were so blessed to be surrounded by family and friends from across the country on our wedding day. Guests arrived from near and far, from Hawaii to New York, and many states in between. Sash & Bow, our wedding coordinator, helped make the day as stress-free as possible. But most importantly, I am so excited to spend the rest of my life with Nick. How blessed I truly am.”
